The Act of Slowing Down in a Hackney Residence.

Located in trendy Dalston, Kinetica Residence is a split level flat atop the Waugh Thistleton building. The project aim was to create a serene space that stills the mind and offers a moment of calm. A new kitchen | living space was designed to best enjoy the sweeping views of the Dalston skyline.

A simple and considered materiality is evident - a handmade paper lantern against subtle hues of white and grey, offset by a beautifully crafted wooden table by De La Espada.

Nordic wood flooring was installed throughout, unifying the two floors and creating a space at once warm and light. In all, a great backdrop for the resident’s beautiful collection of small ceramics and everyday objects
